ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Baugo Township Fire Department reported on Tuesday both tornado sirens in the township are currently not functioning.

This was discovered following Tuesday morning's statewide tornado drill. There's a potential for severe weather Tuesday evening.

Fire officials recommend residents with a NOAA Weather Radio to test their device to ensure it is working properly.

Officials added that residents should make sure their cell phones are set to receive emergency notifications and alerts.

BTFD, Elkhart County 911 Communications, and the Elkhart County Emergency Management Agency are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it.
