Update in ongoing investigation at SBCSC
BENTON HARBOR, Mich – The Benton Harbor Area Schools School Board addressed two key issues at Tuesday’s board meeting.
The board delayed a vote to approve a final set-up of the advisory committee partnership with the state of Michigan to October 15th.
The advisory committee if officially approved by both the state and the board would see representatives from multiple state agencies along with the school board and members of the Benton Harbor community to create a plan to solve the districts problems.
The board discussed what they’d like to see In a future Superintendent.
The board hopes to see the qualities such as a leader, great communication skills and the demonstrated ability to turn a school district around in their future district leader.
The board extended their search for a Superintendent that they would like to see chosen by December 16th.
