Berrien County offering walk-in immunizations ahead of back to school

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. - The Berrien County Health Department is offering walk-in immunizations and health screenings each Wednesday in August to get students ready to go back to school.

Walk-in Wednesdays extend the hours of the health department’s Benton Harbor and Niles offices so kids can get checked without an appointment.

Walk-ins will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on August 9 and 30 in Benton Harbor (2149 E. Napier Ave.) and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on August 2 and 23 in Niles (1205 N. Front St.).

Required school immunizations, vision, hearing and dental checkups will be available for kids at the event.

Vision and hearing screenings will not be offered on August 30.
