Body found in Lake Charles identifed
KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The body found in Lake Charles in Porter Indiana has been positively identified as 30-year-old Teleka Patrick of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Patrick was reported missing on December 6th and was last seen on December 5th when she was dropped off at her car in a parking lot at a medical center in Kalamazoo.
Her car was found abandoned on I-94 just east of the Porter/Burns Harbor exit on the evening December, adjacent to Lake Charles.
Sunday morning, a fisherman found the body of a woman floating in the lake.
Identification was made through fingerprints.
The Lake County Coroner conducted an autopsy but has not released the cause of death pending toxicology results.
Dr. Patrick graduated from medical school last spring in California. She's been in Kalamazoo working on her residency since July.
