The Bradley Five Charitable Fund donated $17,000 to the W.M. Keck Center for Transgene Research on the Notre Dame campus.
The money was raised at the annual Brad Hollar Memorial Golf Outing in Nappanee in August and through a raffle.
The organization was formed after the unexpected passing of 26-year-old Brad Hollar from an undiagnosed genetic condition called Factor V Leiden.
“We want to find a better cure and better understanding and education for the community for what blood clotting is all about," Brad's father Dana Hollar said.
The donation will be used to support genetic research and studies that deal with blood clotting and will also provide local scholarships.
