Browns DB Joe Haden escorts Ohio teen to prom

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio. -- An Ohio teen has bragging rights when it comes to prom dates.

She scored a date with an NFL player and she owes it all to Twitter.

Senior Joyce Grendel, 18, asked out Joe Haden via Twitter and within a few hours he replied and said “Yes.”

The 23-year-old Browns cornerback never got to attend his senior prom because he graduated early.

"It just said, 'Hey Joe, would you consider going to my senior prom with me?' My date backed out,” said Grendel. “This is bigger than I ever imagined."

"I was like, I haven't been so I’ll take you,” said Haden. “I am nervous, though. We were taking pictures with me and her family. I feel we were really legit, like I was getting ready. This is my prom, too."

Another perk to taking a pro baller to prom?  Haden picked Joyce up in his Lamborghini.
