Cass County to host brownfield opportunities informational session
Cass County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority will host an informational session on brownfield opportunities on May 13 from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Commissioners Chambers at 120 N. Broadway St., Cassopolis.
The open house-style session will provide practical, accessible information for those interested in redevelopment opportunities across Cass County. Attendees are welcome to stop in at any time, with a brief presentation scheduled for 8 a.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
Cass County was recently awarded a $300,000 brownfield grant to support site assessments and planning activities. This funding allows the County to better identify redevelopment opportunities and reduce barriers for projects that may otherwise be difficult to advance. Participants will learn about available resources, the brownfield redevelopment process, and how these tools can support investment and revitalization efforts throughout the county.
“This session is intended to help people better understand how brownfield tools can support redevelopment in their community,” said Ambrosia Neldon, Chair of the Cass County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority. “Whether someone is exploring a potential project or simply wants to learn more, we want to make this information approachable and accessible.”
