SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Centre Township Library is temporarily closing starting Monday for renovations.
After two years of planning and $1.5 million, it's set to get a facelift.
Across all locations there are 49,000 active library card holders and over a half million annual visitors.
This project is one of the first major renovation efforts in the “Our Next Chapter” project, hoping to better serve readers across the county at all nine branches with improvements over the next ten years.
The library's communications director, Daniel Lichty, stopped by the ABC57 studio to share that there will be a furniture sale happening Nov. 26. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 1150 Kern Rd. in South Bend.
Remember to bring your own moving help, staff can’t help you load anything, and they take cash or card only.
