College football season still a 'wait and see'
NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- ACC schedules for the upcoming college football season were released just last week, but some conferences are discussing cancelling their season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Notre Dame joined the ACC just for this season.
There are reports both the Big Ten and PAC 12 are hesitant to have a season.
The Detroit Free Press is reporting the Big Ten has already voted to cancel its season.
This leaves the ACC, among others conferences, to make one of the biggest decisions in college football history.
“I know the ACC athletic directors and Jack Swarbrick had a meeting Monday morning just to discuss the events of the weekend with the MAC cancelling and the speculation that the PAC12 and Big Ten were going to be next and what the ACC would want to do moving forward. And there is no answer right now, they don't know. I think it's still a wait and see," said Andrea Adelson, ESPN's ACC reporter.
As of August 1 Notre Dame had administered 459 COVID-19 tests with a total of 2 positive cases, both since have recovered.
