College holds memorial for murdered professor

GOSHEN, Ind. - Family and friends of Jim Miller gathered at Goshen College on Tuesday to honor the one-year anniversary of his murder.

Friends told us they wanted the day to be about remembering Miller and not the crime case.

People gathered to sing, pray, and share memories next to a new bench in his memory.

The Goshen College Class of 2012 and 1962 donated the bend and landscaping around it.

Miller was murdered at his home just after 1 a.m. on October 9, 2011. His wife, Linda, was  also brutally beaten and spent days recovering in the hospital.

The suspect is still on the loose.

Police said the evidence they collected at the scene is still being reviewed by the Indiana State Police Laboratory.
