Colorado community remembers family killed in rock slide

BUENA VISTA, Colo. -- A community is coming together to remember a Colorado family killed in a rock slide.

Hundreds in the close-knit Colorado community took a moment to remember the Johnson family.

They were camping when a rock slide crushed them. The mom, dad, older sister, and two younger cousins died.

The dad saved his 13-year-old daughter, who was the sole survivor.

"The only thing he probably would've hoped is that he could've done that with his whole family. That's just the type of guy he was," said family friend Mike Carr.

The mom was the high school's track coach and the 18-year-old daughter was a homecoming queen candidate.

The surviving daughter is still recovering in the hospital.
