Company steps up its donations to charity

GOSHEN, Ind. -- A Goshen company is making a difference this holiday season. The owners of One4One are donating two shirts for every shirt purchased.

The company makes ecofriendly shirts, sweatshirts and bags. Each of the shirts, made of organic cotton, keeps 2 water bottles out of landfills.

"I think it's important as individuals and as community members that we try to make a difference for those in need because we never know what that could lead to. It's the ripple effect,” said Garner Wireman, founder of One4One.

Wireman and his wife began One4One in 2010.

The company has donated 250 shirts and 7500 pounds of food to local shelters.

"For every item purchased, we donate a similar item or a monetary donation to someone in need or a food bank,” said Wireman.

The monetary donations come from bags. For every bag sold, One4One donates enough money to buy 30 pounds of food.

But One4One doesn't just stay local.

For every Hope shirt purchased, One4One donates to the Mercy Fund to help build wells abroad.

Every two years, the company runs a campaign for a specific area of the world.

"Next year we're going to be going to Peru so we have our clothe Peru campaign and every shirt that's purchased with Clothe Peru, we will donate one when we go to the cities in Peru,” said Wireman.

Right now, the company is running a special on all their products and donating two shirts for every one purchased.

Wireman says business is booming.

"I look forward to many years of helping out people in need both in missions or shelters and in food pantries as well,” said Wireman.

The products are available in South Bend at Just Goods, at the Elkhart Farmer’s Market and on the company’s website http://www.liveone4one.com/
