Deputies investigate report of gunfire exchanged between vehicles in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—Deputies with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday launched an investigation into an incident of shots fired.
Police were called to the area of SR 19 north of CR 4 around 6:55 p.m. for a report of gunfire exchanged between two vehicles.
A suspect vehicle was identified at the scene but the second vehicle, described by witnesses as a gold Chevrolet Tahoe, left the area and was not located.
No injuries or property damage occurred during the incident, police said.
No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
