KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. -- A five-year-old boy nearly drowned in a pool while his family was on vacation in Florida.
Also at the pool was a cardiologist from Philadelphia who was also on vacation with his family.
When he saw the little boy having trouble in the water he says he swam as fast as he could to him, and then performed chest compressions on him until paramedics got to the scene.
By the time help arrived, the boy was breathing again.
"A young kid, bringing him back was the best thing the can happen to any physician and the rest is in the hands of God's hands," said Dr Amir Siadatan.
He was taken to a hospital overnight but he is expected to be just fine.
