Elkhart County Republican Party announces candidates for upcoming caucus

 ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart County GOP has released the names of those running in the caucus on Jan. 8, 2026.

Two positions are to be filled: the Concord Township Assessor and the Clerk of the Circuit Court; both of the previous officeholders, Christopher Dickinson and Christopher Anderson, resigned from their positions.

Madi Heidt is looking to fill the Concord Township Assessor seat.

The four people looking to fill the Open Circuit Court Clerk seat are John Perry, Patricia Pickens, Kelly Williams, and Carol Smith.

The caucus to fill the Township Assessor vacancy will start at 6 p.m. Jan. 8. The caucus to fill the Clerk of the Circuit Court vacancy will start at 6:30 p.m., or at the conclusion of the preceding caucus.
