Elkhart plant to shut down, 210 jobs to be lost

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Gunite Corporation announced plans on Wednesday to close their doors in Elkhart for good.
The Elkhart plant is located on County Road 14 and provides components to the commercial vehicle industry.
It is scheduled to shutdown by the first quarter of next year.
The move is expected to cost the area at least 210 jobs.
The company said it needs to close the plant to improve profits.
They provide components to the commercial vehicle industry.
