Elkhart Police investigating Thanksgiving Day shooting

ELKHART, Ind. -- Police are investigating a shooting after a 30-year-old man walked into Elkhart General Hospital Thursday morning with a gunshot wound to his arm.

The victim told police he was walking in the area of 5th Street and Lexington Avenue when he heard a gunshot. When the victim realized he had been shot, he told police he ran to the hospital to seek treatment.

However, upon investigating, police say they found evidence that contradicted the information the victim provided.
