Free family drive-in movie night scheduled for Saturday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Several local groups have come together to host “The Black Panther” drive-in theater experience at the Century Center Saturday evening.

The movie will play on a 25-foot inflatable screen in the parking lot and will begin at approximately 7:45 p.m. Audio will run through your vehicle’s radio.

The gates to the parking lot will open at 5:45 p.m. Space is limited – only 200 spaces are available.

Admission is free.

When entering, each carload will receive a prepackaged bag of popcorn.

Guests must stay in their cars unless they are going to the restroom or to visit the food trucks. Masks will be required for visits to the restroom or the food trucks.

“The late Chadwick Boseman made black children everywhere dream of one day being a Superhero. Seeing someone look like them playing such a significant role has impacted many lives,” says Doranna Byrd, Diversity, Equity and Belonging Director at Ivy Tech Community College South Bend – Elkhart. “We are excited to work together with these other organizations to provide an opportunity of unity and wholesome entertainment."
