Hot and humid weather awaits us today as temperatures rise quickly into the low 90s early this afternoon. With the amount of instability expected at the surface, thunderstorms are likely to develop and severe weather is possible later in the day. The threat for storms begins around 4 PM in the northwestern most part of our area and will move southeast into the overnight hours with the severe threat likely wrapping up around midnight or just after. Main concerns will be damaging wind and heavy rain, but hail is possible. An isolated tornado is less likely, but not off the table. After the cold front moves through tonight, lows fall into the low 60s and we cool off Friday and Saturday with temperatures back in the low to mid 80s amidst quiet weather. Highs return to the low 90s with more humid weather on Father's Day this Sunday and consecutive days of 90F+ temperatures are expected next week.
Today: PM thunderstorms. Some storms may be severe. High 91.
Tonight: Thunderstorms. Low 63.
Friday: Sunny. High 82.
Saturday: Partly cloudy. High 84.
