Hot weather to blame in death of Evansville couple

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- The hot weather is being blamed for the deaths of an Indiana couple.

Police went to an Evansville home for a wellness check and found an elderly couple and their pet bird dead inside.

All the doors and windows were locked.

The last time anyone heard from the couple was July 1. The high temperature that day was 105 degrees.
