Humane Society, Cat Lady Café partnership leads to over 250 cat adoptions
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Kim Sult, owner of the Cat Lady Café, announced her partnership with the Humane Society of St. Joseph County has resulted in over 250 cat adoptions over the past two and a half years.
The café educates visitors on cat adoption, shelter operations, and spaying/neutering.
Sult also announced the Midwest Meow Fest will be held in South Bend at the Century Center on Mar. 21, 2026, featuring cat-centric vendors, local rescues, and a keynote by kitten care educator Hannah Shaw.
The event aims to promote cat rescue, education, and community engagement. Further details and updates are available on the Cat Lady Café's website.
Sult stated, "So these past few years, we have educated our visitors who have come to us from all over the country, and we've had some from other parts of the world even to visit us. And we educate them on the benefits of adopting a cat, how a county animal shelter works, and, of course, the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. So, we are proud to report that, together with the Humane Society, we have fostered over 250 adoptions to date, so we're pretty excited about that. And of course, we look forward to the next 250 and beyond."
