Indiana State Police said a maroon passenger car was traveling southbound on Miami Highway and failed to stop at the stop sign and drove underneath the trailer of a semi traveling westbound on US 6.
The man and woman in the maroon car were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi, 36-year-old Valery Ryshkevich of Chicago, was not injured.
The Marshall County Coroner has identified the victims as 38-year-old Mark Ley Jr. of Kendallville and 36-year-old Krystal Smith also of Kendallville.

They were both killed on impact.
An investigation is ongoing.
