After closure in 2020, YMCA reopens in downtown
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College of South Bend-Elkhart donated medical supplies to the St. Joseph County Department of Health which will go toward health care providers experiencing supply shortages.
The supplies were picked up by Paul Burrows, St. Joseph County’s Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, at 11 a.m. at Ivy Tech's location in South Bend.
The items donated are used for instruction in various health care programs at Ivy Tech, such as Nursing, Medical Assisting, etc.
Items that Ivy Tech will be donating include:
- Over 70 boxes of exam gloves
- 25 boxes of medical procedure masks
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) gowns
- Goggles
- Lab coats & gowns
