Toll Road back open after day of winter weather chaos
A surface low lifts into the Great Lakes this morning, pivoting east through the day. The result is a soggy start to the day via light rain showers, then an eventual rain/snow mix later this morning and into the afternoon. Very little to none of the snow will stick due to warm ground temperatures, but limited visibility will be an issue for some areas north of US-30 later today. Expect a light slush in grassy areas, not much else. After the system passes through this evening, lake effect snow showers develop tonight and take us into the new year for half of Wednesday. With the holiday and little travel expected, major impacts to roads or traffic are unlikely. All wet weather wraps up Wednesday evening, leaving behind frigid temperatures in the back half of the week.
Today: Rain/snow showers. High 40.
Tonight: Flurries. Low 28.
Wednesday: Lake effect snow. High 32.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. High 28.
