Starke County face-to-face with severe weather
Lake effect flurries will fall across southern Michigan and far northern Indiana counties for most of today, likely amounting to an additional 1"-3" in southern Michigan and about an inch in most of St. Joseph County by the end of today. Temperatures get to the upper teens this afternoon, enabling most salt to help continue the melting process on roads and walkways. With the exception of northern St. Joseph Counties, the risk of icy roads has gone down across the area for today and tomorrow. Lows do fall to near zero tonight though; wind chills will be between -10F and -20F out the door tomorrow. No significant snow falls most of Friday, but lake effect snow redevelops Friday night and lasts through Saturday morning. Temperatures get back to the 20s on Sunday and will hold in the 20s for most of next week.
Today: Flurries. High 18.
Tonight: Overcast.. Low 0.
Friday: Partly cloudy. High 16.
Saturday: Scattered snow showers. High 18.
