Man sentenced to 37 years for attempted murder in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. - An Elkhart man was sentenced to 37 years for the attempted murder of a woman on Hiawatha Drive back in April 2023.

The Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office sentenced 30-year-old Navneet Singh in connection with the April 20 incident, where Singh shot a 31-year-old woman and then himself, according to police reports.

Twelve years of the 37-year sentence will be served on reporting probation.
