Mishawaka Common Council candidate forum scheduled for Oct 13

Candidates running for Mishawaka Common Council at-large seats have agreed to participate in a candidate forum moderated by Dr. James Smith, Associate Professor of Political Science at IU South Bend.

The event will be from 6 - 7:30 p.m., October 13 at Wiekamp Hall Auditorium/Room 1001 on the IUSB campus.

The event is sponsored by the American Democracy Project, Political Science Club of IU South Bend and the League of Women Voters of the South Bend Area.

Audience members will be able to submit questions on note cards during the debate.

Questions can be emailed to the American Democracy Project Intern [email protected] with the subject line of: MISHAWAKA at-large QUESTION.

Attendees are invited to join the candidates for a reception after the event.

This event is free and open to the public. Visitor parking is free on all campus lots.

In keeping with sponsor rules, audience members are advised not to wear t-shirts, hats, buttons, and other campaign paraphernalia supporting a particular candidate, party, or campaign.
