Mishawaka Police say skateboarder filed false report about hit and run

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka Police have completed the investigation into the hit and run that was reported Sunday around noon. They have determined the juvenile filed a false report.

The 13-year-old told police he was riding his skateboard near the intersection of Russ Avenue and Benton Street around noon when he was struck.

He told police the driver who hit him did not stop.

The teen was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries to his knee and face.

While following up on the investigation, police determined the juvenile filed a false report.
