Missing Oregon hiker found

PORTLAND, Ore. — A 23-year-old woman is recovering after she spent six nights alone on Mount Hood.

The woman got lost and was funneled into canyon. There she made a snow shelter.

She is now in the hospital with frostbite.

She talked about how she survived on melted snow and special supplies.

"I found that Nutri-grain bars makes really kindling," said Mary Owen. "I was able to put together a pretty good fire, but it didn't last very long. I didn't have the range of motion to go and collect enough to keep it going very long. So, it was enough to dry me out and heat up my hands which as good because my hands were getting pretty nasty."

Own was found Saturday morning.
