ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fort Wayne – South Bend has created a new outpatient addiction treatment program in South Bend to help people with drug or alcohol struggles.
“I really see that folks are, we continue to struggle as a country with addictions especially. That stigma still tends to be there that somehow it’s a self-caused problem. And we know that addiction is a disease,” said Chris Nowak, Catholic Charities Clinical Director and certified addictions therapist.
At the moment, the program is limited to outpatient treatment for alcohol and drug addiction.
The program is now accepting self-referrals and referrals from healthcare professions, attorneys, and courts.
For more information on the program and referrals, contact Catholic Charities at 574-234-3111 or email Chris Nowak at cnowak@ccfwsb.org.
