South Bend to host job fair April 11

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend announced on Friday that it will host a job fair on Thursday, April 11 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Technology Resource Center in Ignition Park to "showcase current and future employment opportunities," city officials said.

There will be tables set up representing different departments with managers providing information on job openings and to chat one-on-one with prospective employees.

City departments who will be present at the job fair include Community Investment, Central Services, Innovation and Technology, Legal, Public Works, Venues Parks and Arts, the South Bend Fire Department, and the South Bend Police Department.

"A space will be reserved for on-the-spot interviews with individuals viewed as potential candidates for an opening," organizers said. "Attendees are encouraged to bring printouts of their current resume."
