Niles High School gets gift from legendary rocker

            NILES, Mich. -- “Mony, Mony” equals money, money for the Niles High School Music Department.
Friday, legendary rocker Tommy James announced that he is donating $5000 of proceeds from, last week’s homecoming concert, at The Morris Performing Arts Center.
A 1965 Niles graduate, James rose to fame in the 1960’s after he and his band, The Shondells, recorded the chart-topping “Hanky Panky.”
James also wrote the critically acclaimed auto-biography, “Me, The Mob, and The Music.”
His book is now headed to Broadway and the silver screen.
