Ohio Girl Scouts send cookies overseas to troops

OHIO -- A Girl Scout in Ohio is trying to send troops overseas a little taste of home.

The seven-year-old is raising money to buy them Girl Scout cookies.

Instead of getting people to buy a box or two for themselves, she is asking that they buy a box for our soldiers instead.

Last year alone, they sent soldiers 30,000 boxes, through what they call Operation Sweet Appreciation.

"I want to help our troops because they do so much for us," said the Girl Scout.

Right now the Girl Scout is trying to hit a personal goal of 2,000 boxes to send overseas. She is just a few away.
