UPDATE: One injured in shooting on W. Hamilton Street, SBPD Violent Crimes Unit investigating

ABC 57 UPDATE: SBPD says the victim was taken to the hospital, and the Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the incident.
The victim's condition has not been released at this time.
ORIGINAL STORY: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department confirms one person was injured in a shooting in the 2100 block of W. Hamilton Street Friday afternoon.
Police say the call came in around 2:57 p.m.
The extent of the victim's injuries is currently unknown.
