One suspect found guilty in death of Tyler Hurtle

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- One of the three men charged in the murder of Tyler Hurtle in October 2016 has been found guilty, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office.

Sir Jackquarius JaQuan Lloyd was found guilty of murder, felony murder, attempted armed robbery and the firearm sentencing enhancement.

The murder was allegedly a botched robbery attempt.

Lloyd told inmates after the murder that he ditched the gun used in the murder in the woods in Leeper Park. When police searched the area, they found the gun.

The pistol was compared to casings found at the scene and was a match, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Two other men, Presley Jermaine Brown and Caleb Smith were also charged with murder, felony murder and attempted robbery in this case.

Brown's case is scheduled for trial in April. Smith's trial has not been scheduled yet.

Lloyd will be sentenced in April.
