'Our Amazing Bats' night hike through Bonneyville Mill County Park
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Elkhart County Parks announced it will host an evening hike at Bonneyville Mill County Park at 8:30 p.m., Friday, called "Our Amazing Bats."
Organizers invite community members to learn about the world of backyard bats.
During the hike, organizers say you'll watch as these creatures prepare for their nighttime excursion.
Participants will also learn about the different species of bats and how Indiana’s most common bat ended up on the endangered species list.
Organizers say you'll learn the myths and truth about Indiana’s only flying mammal.
The event is free, and no registration is required.
Participants will meet at the Briar Patch Shelter, on the south side of Bonneyville Mill County Park at 53373 C.R. 131, on C.R. 8 in Bristol.
The hike goes until 9:30 p.m.
