Passenger dies following crash involving sheriff's deputy in LaGrange County

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. - One of the people involved in a crash with a LaGrange County sheriff's deputy and a K9 on Wednesday has died, according to Indiana State Police.

Barabra Ebert, 87, of LaGrange died at a Fort Wayne hospital on Sunday morning, the Allen County Coroner's Office confirmed.

According to ISP, Ebert was the passenger of a vehicle that allegedly pulled out in front of a squad car on South Detroit Street.

Ebert, the driver of the vehicle and the deputy involved were all taken to the hospital.

The deputy's K9 partner was taken to a local vet.

Indiana State Police continues to investigate this crash.
