CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash around 11:29 a.m. Wednesday on Dixon Street near Indian Lake Road in Silver Creek Township.

Authorities learned a vehicle, driven by 66-year-old Patrick Robbins of Dowagiac, was traveling east on Dixon Street and failed to yield to oncoming traffic while turning into the Silver Creek Township Hall.

Robbins was then struck by a vehicle, driven by a 27-year-old Hartford, Mich. woman, traveling west.

Robbins' passenger, a 64-year-old woman also from Dowagiac, was taken to Beacon Dowagiac Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
