Police bust large marijuana grow operation in Van Buren County

VAN BUREN CO., Mich. -- The Van Buren County Sheriff's Department busted a large-scale marijuana grow operation last Wednesday.
It happened in the 78000 block of 40th Ave. in Covert Twp. around 4 p.m.
Since then, Michigan State Police, Van Buren County Narcotics Detectives and DEA agents have conducted two additional helicopter fly overs of the area.
A total of 1,781 marijuana plants were found and destroyed.
