Political candidate in Michigan caught in a name game

DETROIT -- A candidate for Wayne County Commissioner in Michigan is frustrated with the election board.

Guitonia Adams wants her name to appear as Toni Adams but election officials have denied her request because her legal name is Guitonia.

What is more frustrating to Adams is that her opponent's name is Antonio and he is being allowed to run as Toni.

"I'll guarantee you that after it's over if we could to talk to the people who voted for Toni, they'll say we voted for you Toni. And I'll say no you didn't even for a woman. You voted for a man," Adams said.

Adams said she is going to file a formal complaint with the Secretary of State's office.
