President Donald Trump tests positive for COVID-19; VP Mike Pence tests negative
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for COVID-19. Vice President Mike Pence has tested negative.
The President announced on Twitter early Friday morning that he and the First Lady tested positive. They are both quarantining.
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 2, 2020
This comes after White House aide Hope Hicks tested positive for the virus Thursday.
It is unclear if anyone else who was close to the president will be isolating as well.
