Happy Monday – it’s the first day of the month of February. By the time you are heading to work this morning, snow showers will have wrapped up, and it should be a mostly quiet day. We’ll keep our cloud cover. Temperatures won’t warm much today – we’re starting in the low 20s and will be end in the upper 20s this afternoon.
Tonight, some clouds break up, which means temperatures will cool to the mid teens overnight. There is a chance for a few lake effect snow showers overnight and into Tuesday morning. Most of them will stay west, with the primary recipient LaPorte County. Otherwise, it should stay quiet Tuesday with a chance to see a little sunshine.
Wednesday is also quiet. The next system moves in Thursday. With temperatures in the upper 30s, Thursday should be primarily rainy before shifting to snow overnight. There is potential for some accumulating snow by Friday morning.
There is a chance for lake effect snow showers through the weekend with much cooler air on the way. Overnight lows are in the single digits to low teens starting Saturday night and lasting through early next week.
Today: Mostly cloudy. High 30.
Tonight: Few lake effect showers. Partly cloudy. Low 15.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy. Few lake effect snow showers. High 32.
Wednesday: Mix of clouds and sunshine. High 32.
