Residents asked to comment on Benton Harbor Area Schools plan
The Community Engagement Advisory Committee is asking for community members to provide comments about the draft academic and financial operating plan for Benton Harbor Area Schools before the April 13 meeting.
“This is an opportunity for Benton Harbor community members to provide their feedback about our draft academic and financial operating plan,” said Deputy State Treasurer Joyce Parker, who chairs the Community Engagement Advisory Committee for Benton Harbor Area Schools. “It’s important to the development of the plan that we hear from community members.”
All comments must be received by noon on April 13, 2020.
On April 7, the Benton Harbor Area Schools Community Engagement Advisory Committee held a joint meeting with the Benton Harbor Board of Education to present the draft academic and financial operating plan. Throughout the next month, the plan will undergo further review and approval among the Benton Harbor Area Schools Board of Education, Michigan Department of Education and Michigan Department of Treasury.
