ELKHART, Ind. - Swift Prepared Foods, a consumer-packaged goods company known for producing meat products, celebrated its 100th anniversary on Friday.
Congressman Rudy Yakym joined representatives from Swift Prepared Foods out of Elkhart to honor a century of work here in Michiana!
The stop marked the last leg of yakym's monthly tours of the second district, an effort to get out and connect with the residents he represents in Washington D.C.!
“Think about what it takes to do something for 100 years, a full century,” Yakym said. “Your 100 years is about 40% of the time that we've been a nation. That's a long time. And you don't do anything for 100 years, unless you have a commitment to excellence and a commitment to do it right.”
Yakym will return to Washington until next month’s tour in Michiana.
