Saturday celebrations for Kids to Parks Day

Kids to Parks Day is a national holiday to celebrate the great outdoors. Children are encouraged to lay outside and stay connected with parks. 

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says state parks throughout Indiana will hold special events for the May 19th celebration.

Some Indiana State Parks that will participate and hold events are:

  • Pokagon
  • Spring Mill
  • McCormick’s Creek
  • Raccoon State Rec area
  • Turkey Run
  • Chain O’ Lakes
  • Harmonie
  • Patoka Lake
  • Summit Lake

Indiana’s Governor Eric Holcomb supports and even signed an official proclamation that declared May 19th as Kids to Park Day.
