SBPD and Metro Homicide dispatched to home in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department and Metro Homicide are at a home on the northwest side of South Bend.

Officers appear to be investigating inside a white two-story home at the intersection of Lincoln Way West and Sherman Avenue.

Three police cruisers, the Metro Homicide van, and at least four officers are at the scene.

Officers are coming in and out of the home, going back to the van for supplies and then walking back inside the home.

There is yellow police tape wrapped around the porch, closing the house off.

ABC 57 News spoke with one officer on the scene who just got on shift. When asked what was going on, he said, "I'm not allowed to release any details, but it's very serious whenever Metro Homicide has to respond."
