A fire in South Bend leaves building ablaze
A couple of showers are possible in spots this morning, but the weather story today will be more showers and storms firing up this afternoon and evening. We should start to see activity pop up after 3 PM today, with the best chances for strong/severe storms continuing to be south and west of the area. We could still see heavy rain, strong wind and small hail. The tornado threat looks pretty low with the latest update. Overnight, focus shifts to a heavy rain/flash flooding event as widespread downpours and storms slowly roll through. Totals of 2-4” are still possible tonight into early tomorrow.
Activity calms down Tuesday morning and we’re left with brighter skies and cooler highs for much of the work week.
