INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Indiana Senator Todd Young held a virtual meeting on Friday to discuss the passage of his China Competitiveness Bill and how it benefits Hoosiers.
The bill passed the Senate by a vote of 64 to 33 on Wednesday, and a bipartisan majority in the House approved the bill on Friday.
Young's bill impacts Hoosiers because it expands domestic production of semiconductor chips, creates jobs, and provides $2 billion for Department of Defense semiconductors.
The bill also expands STEM education and traineeships, as well as allows for Indiana to compete for a regional tech hub designation.
