Sheriff's deputy charged with child porn

A small Indiana community is shocked by the behavior of one of their police officers.

Police say 31-year-old James Haley Junior, a Vigo County Officer has been charged with possessing child pornography.

Forty-thousand files in total were found on his computer.

His boss and colleagues are upset with this recent discovery.

"I am beside myself and let him get what he just deserves," said Greg Ewing, Vigo County Sheriff. "It made me sick; it really made me sick to think that somebody wearing this uniform was doing something like that behind their closed doors."

Haley faces a maximum 40 years in prison if convicted.

He was an officer with the department for about 2 years.
