South Bend police seek help locating homicide suspect
ELKHART, Ind. – Authorities have confirmed a shooting near Wolf and Frances avenues.
According to officials, officers arrived on scene in response to the sound of gunfire then found two subjects who had sustained gunshot wounds.
The first victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital. The second victim was seriously injured and transported to Elkhart General Hospital.
Crime scene investigators looked over the evidence on the scene for hours.
The scene cleared around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is handling the investigation because of those life-threatening injuries.
